It has the appearance of a generic Magical Girl anime, but the depth of Evangelion.
That sounds very good. I guess I'll have to check it out.

AJF you have no idea what anime I'm talking about do you

Oh god it gets even funnier a minute in where this is supposed to be dramatic and be taken seriously, but there's an android stuffed talking teddy bear from the future and a kid who really fucking loved his soccer ball

And the Japanese team manages to not only get a red card but fucking flip it against the ref and goes on headbutting other american players as well, thus eliminating what little rules of physics, thermodynamics and sports exist
I'm crying from the hilarity

And now an engineer from the future with the stupidest fucking laughter in the universe is relevant to the story oh god my imaginary drills

But you must watch it too because no words can express the sorrows of a little kid seeing his beloved soccer ball set on fire while a talking teddy bear teaches the viewer about space time continuum

The first one is the only one with "normal" shit going on, but generally it's a pretty unappealing anime

I suggest you just play the game, possibly the european version of it with the japanese-names patch, because it's the best version short of the second game (which hasn't been translated and repatched yet and it's the best of the series)

The game was mentioned in Nintendo Magazine. I'll check it out, maybe

Watched the original TV run, End of Eva and the two Rebuilds out so far. I quite enjoy the series.

Makes much more sense than End of TV.
