I've really been enjoying Bartender. It's pretty goddamn classy.  The usual format of a chapter is that a customer comes into the bar to relax/hide/mope because of some problem in their life. The main character uses his ridiculously overpowered skills of perception and encyclopedic knowledge of booze to make the perfect cocktail for them, chatting about the method of preparation or history of the liquor. The things he says are a metaphor for the customer's issues, and helps them feel better and decide what they should do. It's touching, and full of interesting tidbits about alcohol (with some amount of artistic license). There's an anime as well, but I haven't watched that yet. |

Well now I know what to put in my secret lair's elevator shaft, whenever I get around completing that whole world domination project thing. Also, Nichijou has proven to be...fun, but in an alien way. As in, it's very bizarre and I end up grinning without understanding the reason for me doing so.

 milky holmes 2 has subs for episodes 7-11, why didn't I notice that sooner? dat episode 7: fights, fights everywhere. suddenly ultima. and then a gigantic pink tittymonster punched the world. so I gotta say, MH S2 was so fucking good. It started out hilarious and just hot better until episode 7 which was just so fucking awesome and then kept that level until episode 11. Sadly episode 12 was pretty shit. Well, I guess you can't have everything. Season 3 is almost confirmed though, considering Moriarty just vanished after he stole dem special powers in episode 10 and we didn't get to see her again. |
