I've known about this program for a while and I guess I should share it, because it helps solve quite a prevalent problem in Photoshop.
This program,
Adobe Photoshop Assistant, is basically a front end that loads the program with some extra features.
The main feature that drew me towards this thing is that it
disables the alt menu focus that is present in almost every windows application. This is a godsend, because I use the Alt modifier often with the Brush tool to use the color picker. Before, if you press and release Alt, it would focus on the menu, and then if you press any key, it would interfere with your intended hotkey. Used to happen all the time when I would select a colour and then press M for marquee, E for eraser, or W for magic wand.
There are also other cool things like changing the new layer hotkey, or the colour picker hotkey.
It works for CS5, CS6 and a bunch older versions. You just have to make sure you link to the executable file.
