Thinking about a SC2 TF2 Custom Map. My ideas:
Scout - Reaper. Whether he can move up/down terrain debatable
Pyro - Firebat. Because he shoots fire. Considering making him a detector
Soldier - Marauder. Because no ground unit shoots rockets if I remember correctly
Demoman - Marauder again, probably with much shorter range. Lays up to three spider mines?
Heavy - Tychus. As soon as I saw that video in the missions briefing I was like "there he is"
Engineer - SCV that can put down auto-turrets (sentries) and supply depots (dispensers). Depots for the option to wall in (or not)
Medic - Um.
Spy - A Marine with (limited?) cloak and a changeling type disguise kit? Stab could be a short ranged, super powerful snipe. I might try to figure out how to get all the units to return fire rather than to fire on sight to give Spies a chance.
Sniper - Ghost without cloak and longer snipe range I guess. I'm thinking have the snipe immediately drain all energy, and the damage done is based on how much energy you had in the first place. Energy drains/refills when you move/stand still?
It's going to be a mother to figure this all out though. I have to decide whether I want to have the SC type controls usually meant for leading armies or get a WASD control scheme to work

I just want Starcraft 2 skins for TF2. Especially my Sniper-Ghost.

I always thought SC1's Kerrigan (I dunno about SC2's I still haven't played it yet :<) made a good Spy. She cloaks and has a strong melee attack (you can configure that though). AND If you're being picky about which race the units come from (because I noticed you're using only Terran), she is an infested Terran Ghost, therefor she is somewhat a Terran. I win.

She's still a human nonetheless. I don't see why they all have to be Terran. Really, the only other alternative that fits is using a Dark Templar.

It's just most of the units that fit are Terran so I figured I might as well make them all Terran with no outliers like Infested Kerrigan
Edit: Of of course we could make the Spy a Spectre. Perfect.

if you're going to make a sc2 mod, why not make it actually unique and not just mold them into gg2 class roles. i might make sprites for this. here's my brainstorm lulz, maybe more later: Terran

I lurked around the Gamefaqs forums, the Battlenet forums, and TeamLiquid forums. There seems to be a lot of hate towards Terran players at the moment, many saying Zerg is underpowered and Terran is OP. Lots and lots of raging in some threads. Kinda scary

I'm saying it's a good idea, but the team numbers have to be capped differently or else the game will be tilted to the advantage of the protoss every single time, unless the other two races go heavy teamwork, something not common at all in pubs. Just saying. But sprite, please, I'd love to see these

You're thinking of modding GG2 so that it offers gameplay similar to Starcraft 2, I'm thinking of modding Starcraft 2 so that it plays like Team Fortress 2...

- How does a Sentry jump? Hydralisks and Stalkers maybe, but I don't know about the Sentry. Maybe it can hover or something. - Detection: how are you going to work out detection? You have cloaked and burrowed units but no detection. Maybe make one of each class detect. I'm thinking making the low HP people detectors (Reaper, Sentry, Infestor); it'll make them bigger targets - How about Sentry has a Guardian Shield that activates upon either taking damage or getting near an enemy? - I'd say replace Psionic Reflector with Void Prison, but give the prison very long cooldown and affect DT with partial visibility for two seconds or something - This is an ambitious and probably stupid idea... give someone that gets a 15+ killstreak temporary control over a powerful airship (Battlecruiser, Carrier, Brood Lord) - Are Roaches going to shoot a constant stream of acid or in bursts like normal?

This is why you are the resident Korean. These ideas are all good. void prison would probably work out. killstreak idea is kind of bad and call of duty-esque. roaches will shoot bursts. detection will probably be given to the units you mentioned. however, just like spychecking, you can find cloaked/burrowed units by just spraying around, in addition to skills like optic flare and fungal growth.

Haha thanks. Modding GG2 wasn't what I was getting at, but it seems like a much more plausible idea than me taking the time to figure out SC2 Map Editor  I want to see this happen.
