The people of today want HYPURR REALISTIK MILITAREE SIMULATIONZ, not (for lack of better word) unrealistic games, as proven by the imbeciles at my school. And anyways, big game reviewing corporations aren't exactly reliable sources any more.

As I said, it's fun when you want some brainless shooting. Multiplayer's not bad either. I've beaten the campaign within 3 days, but I've played pretty much whole weekend (and I mean from 12am to 12pm non-stop each day) + 2 hours on Monday. But bosses are pretty good, and I intend to replay it. There's nothing I can compare it to, I mean it is pretty linear, but there are some moderately hard puzzles in there too. It's like Half Life with more shooting.
EDIT:Oh, yeah, it feels like you were playing Duke 3D for the Xth time, knowing exactly where you have to go next.
And the graphics are pretty good, actually, unless you compare it to Crysis or something. Though it does run smoothly with highest texture quality on my 8600 GT.

Not really, I just meant that it's linear Duke, feels like old game but without the exploring stuff.
Only old levels are first boss (the one from demo) and Hollywood map for multiplayer.

No, it doesn't. Play it or watch the first 10 minutes and you'll get it. And Hollywood map is made to look like fake buildings in big paintball hall, it's the only map not based on place from campaign.

I'm aware it's another revival of the classic arena-type shooters, but I was just wondering if they made it excellent with that in mind. It seems good, I'll give it a try.

Just gotta put up an antivirus, and then I'll install DNF and GG2.
...This will require to recover my abandoned Steam account.

It... Won't... RUUUNNNN!!! Alright, so, the computer I'm using is perfectly fine, and is of the recommended specs for the game... ... But it's so slow I literally could watch a feature length film until I even get from the main menu to the "Checkpoint Saved" screen prior to level 1. Turns out it's a common problem because they didn't bother to optimize DNF.

I have no idea how is that possible. As I said, it works perfect on my 8600 GT (old as hell graphic card) with ULTRA texture quality and medium world shadows. Antialiasing shouldn't make much of a difference, but turn off post effects, it makes the game look better too.

What if I beat it with a hammer, will it make DNF run faster?
