Super Mario 3D Land just arrived. After the 1st level... I already like it. It's somewhere between New Super Mario Bros. and Mario 64 (and perhaps Galaxy, though I haven't played that game). It's linear but with multiple paths. Coins jumping out of lakes.

Yeah, in the Iwata Asks for SM3DL, they said that this is the "missing link" between the 3D and 2D Mario games. Yes. But it's very good. It isn't completely linear. There are some secrets you won't see if you move in a straight line. |
