Hell, half the time I need to kill time isn't even travelling, it's just waiting for a bus/stuck in an airport etc. the point is that it's a shit battery life and yes I intend on using the damn thing for more than 5 hours without sticking it in a socket |

If there are different light settings you can lower those probably, the DSlite gets 12-15 on the lowest light setting.
Hanz the 3D slider is how tilted each hinge is, that shouldn't have much if any effect on power.
