I don't htink it's a good idea to use sprites in a game like super smash brothers, since it'll require a huge amount of sprites and might even be more expensive
It's working fine for this so far~ http://www.mcleodgaming.com/games.phpThen again, this isn't finished and might never be so I dunno. I really hate to say this but. You can't do 3D sprites without them looking ugly. Paper Mario was a good game though...

"3DS is bad because Polygons are on Pey-Ass-Pey and 3DS is now in 3D so 3DS is Pey-Ass-Pey ripoff. Nintendo stoles them idea from Sony like Nintendo always did" I dunno, should I laugh or should I cry? Oh man, I hate these kinds of videos because then I sit there shooting down every point they bring up regardless of my opinion on the matter. If 3DS ripped off Sony's Slide Pad then Sony ripped off Nintendo's Analog Thumbstick 2 consoles ago. Love how he claims it stole all that made the PSP unique, he's obviously never used it for music, videos and pictures. the XMB is an absolutely outstanding way to sort all that. Overall a boring video, just 9 minutes of a british boy stuttering his poorly thought excuses for not buying a 3DS. His loss really. Now back to the 3DS discussion... Did anyone hope for Star Wars-like holograms when this machine was first announced or just me? Just you. When I hear 3D, I don't think holograms, I think of the graphics 'popping' out at you.

I meant I hope for some game to have those Star Wars esque holograms popping out of the screen for something like a cutscene. Guess I should have worded it better.

There's no way you can do 3D without glasses. I don't care what kind of Engineer you are.

Tell that to the people who tried it out at E3. Quite a limited range from what I hear though.

IIRC the 3DS uses two tilted "screens" as the top screen to give an illusion that it is 3D; if you look at it from an angle, or with one eye (like cameras do), then you won't see the effect.

In actuality if you tilt your head and the view changes, then your brain thinks it's in 3-D such as this:
it doesn't matter the display. But the 3DS has a special display that changes depending on what angle you view it in (since your eyes are placed in different sections of your head), like a hologram. Plus, it has a gyroscope to detect the tilts, which is possibally used to aide in the effect. The key way 3D works is that it shines different angles of light into your eyes. all 3D glasses do is have a slightly thinner sheet of plastic over the right eye.

Ok how the 3D works. By positioning the 3DS in the desired position (may a while) the effects don't kinda a non traditional 3D effect. They don't POP out rather stuff sticks out more and sticks out less. This effect kinda is 3D but at like a 45 degree angle. Now ONLY ONE PERSON can view it. You can't see it from a distance(rainbows make you cry). They use a LOT of graphical tricks on you basically so its technically 3D.

Yeah, that's like projecting an incredibly small images to enormous sizes Or like wireless devices that can be used to communicate with other people And that's just ridiculous. After all, technology is never improving, right?
