It's pretty fun going to an item somebody really wants like a Golden Hammer and just randomly devour it.

Too bad you can't disable what gets out of the crates/capsules/barrels/containers. It's really painful to throw some on the ground / destroy one only for you to see it blow up in your face (or worse).

That and some items' tendancies to screw up or turn against you (thunder, stopwatch, hammers, pokeballs that send damn goldeens).

I always throw them at people, that way if they blow up they blow up, but if there's something good inside, they should be stunned long enough for you to run over and grab it

Whenever I throw Poke balls I always seem to get Goldeen. My friend on the other hand got a legendary twice before.

Legendaries aren't THAT uncommon, I've got them maybe once ever 10-20 games

I always thought there was an easter egg where if you were on a map with water and if you got a goldeen from a pokeball and it flopped itself into the water, it'd evolve or summon something amazing or something to attack instead of being a useless fuck. Spent I don't know how many pokeballs trying to test this.

There was a hoax at one point that if a player was directly on top of a Pokeball and a Goldeen spawned, it would instantly kill the player ala Homerun bat, but it wound up that the guy just gave Jigglypuff a cloaking device and used her Down+B.

It looked pretty legitimate at the time, though.

Remember the time people crudely photoshop'd Sonic onto melee stages?

i remember being fooled into thinking Toad was a useable melee character, whereas all the photoshopper used was sprites from Peach's side B and from the first stage from Adventure mode when he's running in the background.

I actually remember that one as well, and it even appeared on an official magazine as an April Fools

True story, once a guy tried (and failed) to convince me so hard that you could destroy go-karts in Crash Team Racing with a bazooka power up you could get after winning absurd amounts of relics, then start running on the track, then KILLING other players while go-kartless that I stopped believing to any single rumor about a given character being in a given game by the age of 10

I stopped believing video game rumors when my friend told me shadow mario in super mario sunshine was a baby version of bowser. Then it turned out he was right.

Yeah out of all the ensemble of horrible plots in Nintendo history that had to be one of the worst

Still a better game than Mario64 imo

I can actually because they feel like completely different games

Galaxy is basically Mario64 done twenty times better, and it was a ground breaking game already, Sunshine has a completely different pace
