Okay I'm fairly sure you're for real

LKS is an ok game with a nice premise and a pretty twisted and mindscrewy ending, it has its moments but it's so, so far from being the strategic game it wants to be. If anything I'll say that it's one of the most imaginative games I've ever seen, but it ends pretty much there. LKS2 looks like generic animu uguu shit so it's already starting to look like a bad game for abandoning the only cool thing about the original.

Pikmin isn't very strategic either but it's a really good action game, one where making decisions nimbly awards your skills much better and more dynamically than in LKS. For one thing it's much more varied in terms of gameplay rather than imagery than LKS, while also keeping you tight about the time limit for the first game, and your sense of wonder keeps being tickled by the little discoveries over the course of the adventure.

How many versions of street fighter do you have

lmao the whole point of lks2 is that they're finally adding touch screen controls so you can finally control precisely the formations and party lineups, as well actually making your troops more customizable, and they can level up now. the downgrade in art style is tolerable as long as they keep on fixing the things that were missing from the first game, but there's a big probability it could go horribly wrong considering the original designer has left to make Moon: RRPGA 2 or something. anyway i'll see it's development and release to its very end because the original was very Funny & Cool

pikmin is just very boring

i don't own any version of street fighter, because it's an arcade game in the first place

Unless they made the boss fights different from "wait for boss to show weak point/hit weakpoint/retreat and kill minions" (aside from the pinball level, shit was tight) I don't see how it's gonna work any better

Pikmin's "strategy" mostly comes from its nonlinearity. You can beat the second one without being that great at the game, but a skilled player can blaze through either game faster and faster by weighing his options, preparing for his tasks appropriately, and wasting as little time as possible to get as much done as possible in that day.

The gameplay isn't the only aspect that's good about the game though, it's just all around very creative in terms of music, atmosphere etc., which is why I find the series so admirable. That being said, I haven't played LKS, but it looks pretty good.

the boss fights weren't really boss fights at all. they were just Funny & Cool. you're forgetting the quiz boss, the race up the mountain, the world map search with the tv guy. also tyrant mode was cool
