One time I joined a brawl clan, a few years back.

It kinda sucked since we barely ever fought other clans or each other. But on the bright side, I did make a few friends in the process.

Their recovery is a pain.
I've perfected the ability to perform it.
It's not as hard as some people make it out to be.

One time I joined a brawl clan, a few years back.

It kinda sucked since we barely ever fought other clans or each other. But on the bright side, I did make a few friends in the process.

(seriously guys, at least listen to the posts that aren't total fuckassery.)

sounds about right. I used to "be in" one by virtue of being kinda cool with some of the members. it died a long time ago.

i've played it.

it's pretty ghetto, but i appreciate the aesthetics. i wish they had a shield button, but with two buttons used already, i guess it wouldn't fit the gameboy theme.

So, about half a week ago the Unity Ruleset 2.0 decided they're going to officially ban Metaknight on January 9th in NA tournaments: http://www.smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=311729

I've only been keeping light tabs on the scene for a little while, but it'll be nice to see some match-ups with a little more diversity. Metaknight always seemed to over-centralize competitive play from the looks of things, so I'm anticipating to see how this ban translates into the tier list.

Would someone care to explain how Meta Knight is OP because I've found that it's actually really easy to KO people playing MK. Am I just playing with below-average players, or...? By the way, I only play local multiplayer. Wi-Fi is dildoes.

Two separate infinite recovery moves, both vertical and horizontal. High DPS. Strong aerials. Smash moves that are almost guaranteed a kill after 75%. A fast speed. A heavy weight class with none of the negatives. He is S tier while everyone else is B+ or below.

Yes.

Meta Knight's main power is that he can do a flurry of extremely quick moves that have too much knockback without the damage output being low. Unless you're playing an equally fast class (which, unless you're another Meta Knight, would result in you giving up attack power for speed), you're basically never going to get a hit in assuming the Meta Knight player knows what he's doing.

Meta Knight has an extremely high skill ceiling but with a practically non-existent difficulty ramp, coupled with a stupidly high lethality output. In other words, it's too easy to be good at Meta Knight, and it barely takes any more effort to become unstoppable.

Reason he lacks higher tier status is while he can take your percentage up really fast and can infinite recover, he lacks an effective finisher, and is not as versatile as meta knight.
