I used to main Kirby back when I still had a wii/gamecube/64...It's been awhile since I've had my hands on any Nintendo hardware, I probably suck now.
I still hold a grudge against Brawl for taking away Kirby's jihad throws.
You can still Air Drop people off cliffs in one or two situations. |

Most people copy opponents abilities when playing as Kirby. Not me though. I only inhale them when i want to commit Kirbycide.

I main Sonic in Brawl, Kirby in Melee.
Lots of people laugh at the first choice, but then I go "Oh fuck! Where'd that punch come from? Right there, but I'm here now! Guess what? That's the Smash Ball. In my hand. I'm on a horse."

Im better than average with Sonic, meaning i can beat a level 9 cpu, but hes not my best. Right now, i beat every single person i play with as Kirby except my cousin. We have a HUGE rivalry when it comes to Brawl. He plays as Pit so Kirbycide doesnt work.

I usually main Lucas for versatility, Dedede for raw melee power, and Diddy to screw around with my opponents. My brother is mostly playing Ike, Meta Knight and Pikachu. Guess which one of us is getting cheap victories. Is there anyone here who likes to play without items?
When everyone I play with is okay, we usually disable the unbalanced ones (Smash Ball), the luck-based ones (Pokeball/Thunderbolt/That time slowing item) and blatantly game-breaking items (Golden Hammer). We keep the harmless or midly useful ones like Mr Saturn/Springboard/Sticky bomb. |

If you guys want my honest opinion, the only characters that require actual skill as opposed to c-stick spazzing are Marth and, surprisingly, Kirby.
I've also been pondering on the words of a few people who dislike the smash bros series and prefer more old-hat fighters, what if a new smash bros made it so you have to chain combo like in normal fighters to actually deal damage with little to no knockback, yet you have to use melee like strategies (fuck brawl) to get people to fly high in the sky?
