Basically, it does shit.

I thought gg2updater.exe just downloaded new versions?
There's a script in the gg2 source called checkForDevMessages, I'm pretty sure that's what checks for the new version, then creates the box with the list of changes, which by clicking "Okay" opens gg2Updater.exe.
I'm pretty sure.
