aight cool if this is how mentors conduct themselves, take my name off this list. it's not like i'm going to be doing anything with every single "old" member jumping at the opportunity to mentor our ever expanding community. i'm more than content with making my usual intelligent posts, and if new members want to learn something from that, that's their decision. i know from experience that the only way to get acclimated with the forums as a newbie is to act like yourself, contribute to anything, and don't let anyone else tell you how to "act".
if people want to get better at gameplay and strategy, go read guides, ask questions and play the game.
if people want to get better at modding, go to the gg2_dev channel, ask questions, and make prototypes.
if people want to get better at map-making, go study popular maps, read tutorials, and make prototypes.
if people want to get better at "forums", just be yourself. don't come to this thread. lmao

Since I kinda sorta agree with this, I propose that there are no "forum" mentors. There can be gameplay mentors and shit, but the forum mentor shit is a huge reach. It won't work out. |
