I always thought the PS3 was a failure until I got one. Now I don't know why anyone would think that. The controller is made of good, solid plastic, all controls are wireless but you can connect them to your PS3 to charge, the PS3 games have significantly better graphics than Xbox360 games, and the online multiplayer is free. I guess the online isn't as good as the Xbox, though. It's more confusing to write messages/voice chat, but I find the virtual keyboard easier to type with on the PS3, but that might just be the controller. And don't any bluetooth microphones work with the PS3? That's an added bonus. It's also a Blu-ray player, which is cool too. The only thing I really think the PS3 is lacking in is online play.

If I can't tell the difference, it doesn't matter how much "better" the graphics are. Also, if I'm shooting people, please don't bother rendering the bend in the grass and the grasshopper imparting it. I won't notice, and if I do, it's only going to piss me off.

Major problem with PS3: FUCKING EXPENSIVE! :/

From what I understand, it also doesn't have a very hefty amount of console-exclusive games worth buying, besides LPB and maybe Metal Gear Solid 4.

Easy for RPG standards but fun. Also Xesjah had problems with Gigas.

EarthBound was a fantastic game. I liked Mother 3 even better, though; it had all the quirkiness but with more interesting characters and plot.

"Giygas is partially based on a traumatic event in designer Shigesato Itoi's childhood, where Itoi witnessed an intense murder scene at a movie theater which he, along with many others, misinterpreted as a rape scene."

There's something I've been watching with a friend of mine that may interest you if you're a dull geek like me who enjoys learning about video game history. Chrontendo is a series of videos by a guy who's playing ever NES/Famicom game in chronological order of release. Each episode is about an hour long and covers fifteen games. Once you get past his incredibly boring voice, it's pretty interesting; he really knows his stuff, and goes on about the histories of the companies involved in making the games, and points out things like how a particularly awful game was the first to do something that other, more successful games did better. There's also the occasional obscure gem that I pretty much have to find a ROM for immediately after seeing an episode. Such as Otocky.
