Regardless, I got bored last summer and decided to play a couple of SNES games. My favorites have to be Final Fantasy 6 (I learned how to read playing this game) Earthbound and Legend of Gaia .

So I ordered an NES off ebay, and the guy had some problems getting the power supply and the prder was very delayed, so hge offered me a second controller and some games for free. He's asking if there is anything specific I wanted, and I can't think of any past the original zelda (already have Adventure of Link). Quick, name your absolute favorite NES games.

Dragon Warrior 3 and 4 were great, if you like RPGs.

My favourite NES game was never officially translated, though.

Already have SMB 3 and Spy vs Spy. Wasn't DK Xountry snes? I'm 99% sure it was.
Were Dragon Warrior 1 and 2 not as good? I have the first one, was really looking forward to playing it... Sweet home looks interesting. You might like Clocktower Ultros, SNES not "officially" translatesd survival horror game.

A large part of it is grind.  Given what RPGs were around at the time it was made, it was pretty well done and was very successful.  By modern gameplay standards, though, it's not exactly the most fun RPG around.

I don't remember 2 all that well, but I know I didn't enjoy it as much as 3 and 4.

Also, you may be interested in checking out Chrontendo.  This guy is playing every NES/Famicom game in chronological order of release, and putting out a series of hour long gameplay vidoes with commentary, with 15 games per video.  Once you get past his fairly boring voice, it's pretty interesting if you like that sort of thing; he really knows his stuff.

And Clock Tower is one of many games I keep meaning to get around to playing.

I'm currently at work, listening to the Chrono Trigger soundtrack.  Squaresoft's SNES RPGs had amazing music.
