I consider Final Fantasy 6 to be the best in the series, if you'd like to give that one a shot.

Other than that, I can recommend (off the top of my head) Earthbound, Phantasy Star IV, Bahamut Lagoon, and Sweet Home.

9 was my favorite. But that's a PS game, and not SNES or anything.

I bought Shadowrun for the Genesis off of eBay, since I've emulated it before and it was awesome.  Should be arriving any day now.

They just added that along with several other old genesis titles (including one of my personal favorites, Comix Zone) to steam for like 3 bucks.

I'm seeing Shadow Dancer on Steam (no idea what that is), but not Shadowrun.  Which doesn't surprise me; it's a licensed property; Shadowrun is a pen-and-paper RPG system.

Oh god the only reason I played Comix Zone is because it was on a Smash Pack, but now I genuinely like it, although I have yet to get good enough at it to beat it

I got it on the virtual console a while back. Had to play that fucker for weeks straight to get to the last boss.
I found one of the most important things was, if you have to bash through some rocks or sandbags and whatnot, make sure you kicked from far away as possible to retain your health, since punching stuff or kicking it too close killed your health faster, and to figure out which paths were the most effective item and enemy wise.
And make sure you don't let your rat die.
How far did you get?

Yeah but around the last page or two they stop giving you TNT or grenades, you gotta bust through that shit yourself.

I picked up a copy of Kirby 64. God I love that little ball of pink. That game's fun because of the power combining thing you can do. I love it, like when you mix Electricity with Ice you get Fridge Kirby. God that's great.

Jump over or roll under the nails, jump over or roll under him, knock him into his own nails, avoid orbs, rinse, repeat.
It's repetitive but your timing has to be exact.

Bleh my worst one

Though I've been improving at Meggermens and R-Type so maybe I'll stand a chance

This, and Kirby Super Star. Kirby's Dream Land 3 is up there too, in fact it has the same number of combos as Kirby 64, and the animals are something to behold.
