any thing new?

Well, I'm working on the dispenser and teleporter but couldn't do much progress in this weekend.. RL got in the way. Anyway, the next thing I'll release will be, you guessed it, the dispenser and the teleporter.   :smiley16:

Great idea, but one thing: don't use a custom gatling gun when Doom got one already.

Well, the mod is still a work in progress. The current alpha (0.4) can be directly downloaded from http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1235428/doom/doom_fortress.alpha.0.4.pk3. Any new versions will be announced first at http://skulltag.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=24630.

 xD Same here... and thanks!

Naa... I wanted something with a more aggressive look, plus the spin-up delay. So I got the graphics for the "UberMinigun", available at Realm667, and added some customizations of my own, plus some suggestions from contributors.

I'f I'm not wrong, the mod "Legacy of Suffering" has a great Minigun and a Minigun with a built-in rocket launcher. Give it a check, you can find about it in Deviant Art.

Yeah, that would be helpful. I'd have downloaded this but it was like 5 different things to get, I got sick of trying to get it to work :z7:

It's not that hard. All you need is the Doom2.wad (search for it on the internetz), Skulltag, and the .pk3 doom fortress mod.

Bah, I'm lazy. If they really want people to play they should make it simple as possible.

I just checked it out, it's a really great mod, and the chaingun is awesome. I'm still not entirely sure whether or not to incorporate it into Doom Fortress, but I'll surely be contacting the authors about that possibility.

Well, I think I can see the problem there.  :P  I'll see what I can cook up.  :c1:

By the way, I just released a new alpha. Dispensers and teleporters are now fully functional.  :smiley16:

Ok I have two suggestions:
1.Fix the dispenser not showing up glitch/bug/human mistake

2. I don't like the look of the big pole that comes out the sentry...it should be a tripod like TF2

dispenser doesn't show up when I use the remote...

That's strange, it worked okay here...  =/ what map where you playing on, and in what game mode?
Where you with the Dispenser Remote selected? The sentry is kept on weapon slot 3 (by default, press 3 to select it) the dispenser on weapon slot 4, and so on; look at the small picture on the remote to know which of the buildables is currently selected.

I don't like the look of the big pole that comes out the sentry...it should be a tripod like TF2

I actually tried that, but due to a limitation of the engine itself, it wouldn't look very good because the turret wouldn't be allowed to rotate separately from the tripod. By replacing it with a pole, that detail actually goes unnoticed.

This looks great, and it runs perfectly. Excellent modding.

Hey, thanks. :) It's my first Doom mod, and it's been very fun to implement.

Well I know I was using the right remote...but I tried it on another map "The Pit" and it worked there...."Tricks and Traps" was the one that didn't let me put it down...nice job btw
