i laughed
but i guess it could be promoting players to talk to NPC's more and force them through more dialogue, rather than plowing through the game and not paying attention.

they're gonna plow through it anyways though, just with hp as an undeserved reward.
i mean, it's not like you can choose NOT to talk to certain NPCs in the original game, you have to anyway.

It's obviously an initiative encouraging recluse kids to engage in "healthy" conversations with others

Did Speed of Dark end up doing that 3hp run?
I did a 3hp run quite a while ago, actually...? I might've mentioned it on the forums or something, after enough years everything kind of blends together. Maybe I'll try it again sometime. But yeah CS3D is crap.

From a gameplay perspective I guess it dumbs the game down. Maybe it helps to attract more attention-deficit hyper 10-year-olds by rewarding them for sticking through those ultra-long and boring ~3 seconds of critical dialogue. It's retarded and sacriligious anyway you look at it.
When I was an attention deficit hyper 10 year old I played through half of croc without dying once, so either the new media are ruining the kids' tastes in getting challenged or they're just flat out dumber Also quit it BW, that was kind of an out of place offense

I think that kids today are more or less the same as those who lived when the NES began churning out games. Then, kids were used to playing Nintendo-hard games; virtually every game was pretty difficult to play as to keep people playing them, and it became the norm. Now, games are trying to appeal to a wider audience; as such, they're easier to play. Because this is normal, there's the body that expect all games to be easy. CS3D was developed by a larger company (than Pixel himself) who wanted to sell this game to many new players.
Well, that's my best guess.

I am bad at this game and the part where I was spamming bubbles, I thought they would persist after I opened the chest, and would hit balfrog immediately after the dialogue was over, but I was wrong

Am I doing it rightI am bad at this game and the part where I was spamming bubbles, I thought they would persist after I opened the chest, and would hit balfrog immediately after the dialogue was over, but I was wrong You do not listen do you? Also, you realize that you can only hurt balfrog by shooting him in his open mouth, right?

Your framerate doesn't seem that great. Is it just your recording software or is it always like that? Also quit it BW, that was kind of an out of place offense
That was in reference to the comment about the game being dumbed down for younger audiences. I guess I didn't make that obvious enough.
