Here's me after not enough sleep: Would it be possible to implement a server-side version of this where normal chat bubbles are only visible to the originator's team? I can't think of a way to do it without a UUID change, but I was wondering if any of you GM gurus with over a month and a half of experience could think of anything. Some secret if global.knowshowtocode = 1 codeworks = true
or something. I want to know what people think of the thought bubble sprite.
It's not bad. Honestly, it's a thought bubble. Not many places you can take it and still have it resemble what it should.

It looks sort of like a normal bubble.
Why replace the sprite, when we can just make the bubbles faded?

teamspeak bubbles would be nice and i really really doubt it would cause much lag.
This, because it'd only have to transfer one tiny variable more per bubble.

Right now the sprites look too similar to the normal chat bubble. I think using the sprite you have now, but making the background team-colored would help. Maybe something like that?

a much easier implementation would be to have 2 separate sprites with their own lists of subimages. 1 sprite would have 3 subimages: the default bubble, the red thought bubble, and the blue thought bubble the other sprite would have 1 subimage for each image that can appear in the bubbles. Basically what would happen is that the bubble would be drawn above the character's head, then the message would be drawn on top of that. The bubble code would need to be reworked a tad, but it'd work.

A light-colored background with the teams color could also be great, or just have a more gray background too can work, but I think colored are better

You could use it to alert your team members of spies, but not let the spy know. Or you could relay your strategies to your team without telling the other team.
How would it cause lag? It's just another set of bubbles.
Well I use the spy alert even when by myself to intimidate the spy (or at least try) And it is unnecessary, so what if the enemy doesn't see you say attack! If your gonna attack you attack, I think they would notice. Kind of like supercharge, even if they don't see the icon, they know to run when you activate it.

I can't even find a point for this. Usually NOBODY uses the chat bubbles for anything except using emoticons like , or alerting that Spies are around. At least they do in the servers I'm in. But hell, still sounds like an ok idea. You must be playing on the wrong servers, then. I join EVERY server I can find. And all of them have people using the bubbles for almost nothing. So the wrong servers must be every server. Right place at the wrong time? no, its just that its what happens at EVERY SERVER. its true

I like this idea.
It didn't come from a fag, and it doesn't LOOK like it came from a fag.
Kid, I like you. You can come over to my house and fuck my sister.
