Well, yes, but not necessarily. Basically, did you freehand create the rooms individually, or did you use some form of template to create the rooms?

A tileset is a template, yes, but there are plenty of other templates, Like creating the background and drawing on top of it, copy and pasting from previous rooms, etc.

Yea, I did use a tileset, and if I remember correctly, I had actually changed to a more 'portal' looking tileset.
