Useful Shots and Map TipsThe Sniper's power comes not only from his ability to instantly shoot for 60 damage, but also his ability to fit these shots into small areas from a far away. Many Snipers find a fairly safe spot at the edge of open space and fire at anyone they can. (This is common for both teams on Dirtbowl 1, second point. Snipers sit up top and fire at everyone.) You can do more damage by getting out of your safe spot and getting into the action, though. Lots of shots open up to you. You shouldn't use most of these until you are confident in your aim. A Sniper on the front lines with bad aim is worthless. I'll use some Techno Viking's labels from his Runners guide because I'm lazy. - Easy Shot (stand in a spot and shoot with some decent aim) - Medium Difficulty Shot (requires good aim or timing with a jump shot) - Fairly Hard Shot (probably will require a bit of practice or a few seconds of aiming) - Extremely Difficult Shot (for the skilled Snipers) And some extra labels for shots that hit popular spots for anything, really. - Common Autogun spot / - Common Sniper spot - Protects your Intel or helps hold the opposing side's Intel room - Hits a popular spot for any other classes to be in (will specify which class usually is there) I'll also put an image up with the best camping spot and the best spot for close range fights in green and white, respectively. The Keyhole Shot

Sniper - Close Range
If they have a Medic, run for help.
Intro
Crates
Using Terrain
Class by Class
Fight or Flight against multiple enemies?
tl;dr -Use crates. -If they can’t shoot you, you can’t die. -Only let them hit you when you take a shot. -Jump over a crate, pretend to run away. As they follow, slam back into the crate and take the free shot. -Backpedal while shooting. -Glance behind you when you’re not aiming.
While close range is more dangerous than shooting people off screen, it’s nice to let the other guy have a chance for once… right? Personally, I find it more fun.
Thanks to Quack for helping me with the screenshots.

Good so far. Just one question, how much range does a sniper have?

I think someone (Agh?) tested, his shot goes 333 pixels or some ridiculous number. Rockets go further.

If you keep improving and AEF keeps staying on hiatus/minor activity, I think you have a shot.

Yeah, and btw, my response when playing against AEF sniper = defense. playing against your sniper = fear, hide, be a medic and get a good medi-buddy. You're getting there
