Okay, alternate gamemode/mod idea: there are two classes, essentialy heavy and rocketman (or variations of such) Heavy deals huge damage, but has a problem: He can't jump. Here is where the rocketmancomes in, he has to use his rocket knockback to boost heavy up jumps.

And you have enemy rocketmen trying to do the same thing while stoping you. We can call it... Payload

You could get the player to switch to and from animations using the doublejump used and reloading variables.

I understand the principle, but can't actually code it. I haven't even used game maker in months =P I think if (reloading) && class == CLASS_SOLDIER{ sprite_index=rocketmanreload; timer[1]=20}
And if timer[1] <=1{sprite_index=whatever}
