I'm thinking the spy vs spy mod might not work out. The spies hardly ever went in a head-on battle against each other, and that's what people will tend to do in games like gg2, rather than stand back and set up defenses. even still, if both teams set up defenses, and realize that  a head on assault won't work, then the matches will end in stalemates.

I have an idea that might remedy that problem.

Have the point system not just be based on kills. Getting a straight up assault kill gives you only 1 point. Have a style/combo meter that rewards more points to more elaborate kills. Maybe a spring into spike trap gives you 10 points, or a tripwire explosion trap gives you 5 points.

Give one of the classes a trap reversal/rewiring skill. He would be strong against heavy defenses, but weak against frontal assaults.

pyro = blue flame hellion
soldier = marauder
heavy = marauder
demoman = marauder
medic = medic
engineer = raven
spy = ghost
sniper = ghost

so
some folks in the GG2K (Korean) community (ex. Saiyu) are planning to create a prop-hunt mod, and they need help coding, spriting, and suggestions
I personally think this won't work out well, considering it would only take a couple of minutes for a team of pyro to sweep through an entire map, and they have an extremely wide point of view, being able to see behind, over crates, beneath/above platforms, and etc

I suppose the maps could be edited to have multiple props spread all over the map, and some coding could be done, so the attacking team would have major restrictions in point of view, while the defending team would keep the POV in the current GG2

any ideas/suggestions/people willing to help?

I made barrels.


For props :
-Lockers like in Truefort's spawn room
-Control points
-Gens
-Intels
-Autoguns

About restricting the POV, well, make it so they only have a cone of vision and it doesn't extend to the border of the screen. That would be incredibly easy to remove, thought, by editing the source.

I don't have the GG2 source on me right now, but add this line to the Step Event in the Mine Object.

if explosionDamage==50 sprite_index=FullMineS;
FullMineS is just a placeholder name for a new Mine sprite. Duplicate the existing MineS sprite, and change the color to something different.

and apparently Saiyu wants around 100 types of props lopl
plus production can't begin until around a month and a half from now since he's studying for an exam
